As I promised here is Part 2 Free SEO Training Secrets. As always if you missed Part 1, I would highly suggest that you read it first as they all compile into an excellent tool for marketing online.
In Part 1, I shared with you the 3 most important aspects of SEO marketing. Today, I am going to continue our training covering the 4 most commonly made mistakes that distract/hinder you from your ultimate goal.
Let’s begin,
1. Get Moving and Just Do It!
There are numerous SEO networks and communities online, don’t waste your time doing every single one of them. You need pluck through until you find the right ones that are going to offer you the best results. Eliminate the negative variables and run with the positive!
What is going to be your primary marketing strategy? What goal are you looking to accomplish? Here are a few ideas, are you trying to increase your exposure? Are you going after international markets? Are you looking for sales or leaders?
Establishing your target will create a foundation for you to build on. Each SEO network and community is there for a specific purpose. Find the one that if best suited to your goal and stick with it! You can multitask, but no one can multifocus. One thing at a time!
2. Shout FREE FREE FREE!
The best way to convert an incredible amount of leads is to offer FREE content. However, this is only effective if you do it right! This very technique is extremely popular among network marketers in the sense most enjoy hosting some sort of contest of free training. The prizes may vary from an e-book to something a bit more elaborate, such as a Camcorder. If you are using a sponsor, make sure that he/she has a credible background and their values fall in line with yours and the needs of your targeted audience.
When advertising a FREE giveaway or contest, keep in mind that people are extremely lazy. If you make it too difficult for them to actually get to the site, chances are you’ve lost them. You want to create easy access. Also, once you have captured a readers attention it’s a good idea to bring something new to the table every now and them to be sure that they stick around. I personally recommend something new at least every 6 months!
3. Being Desperate :)
A huge pet peeve in the industry especially, in the social media realm is individual begins for subscribers. You know what I’m talking about, when you get a DM on twitter, LinkedIn, or a comment on your blog: ‘Please RT, share, post, Digg, Stumble, show some love’ Listen, no one finds beggars attractive and it doesn’t make them want to do you any favors especially, if it’s their first visit to your site.
As your friend, I am here to warn you…do not create a social media disaster! Personally, I love doing favors for friends but when meeting someone for the first time the last thing you want to do is hit them up with favors! Instead you need to establish a relationship and get to know who that person is. Same as you would if you met someone in a coffee shop. Online is no different than offline when it comes to building rapport with others. As long as you are creating content that is valuable and interesting, people will naturally want to share it with others. Suggesting a great article or piece of content is okay too…just don’t throw up on people!
4. All About YOU!
Let me ask you something, you wouldn’t carry on a full conversation with someone and talk about YOU the whole time, right? That is unless, you are just absolutely conceited. If so the friendship won’t last long. The same thing applies to online relationship building. If YOU are the primary topic in all of your messages, you are shutting your reader out of the conversation. No one likes to feel ignored or unimportant.
There is a reason why it is called SOCIAL media. Remember to engage in conversations with your prospects and build up a strong foundational base to grow and expand on.
I know many of you enjoy using SEO tools to market online. Tools such asFacebook and Twitter are highly popular…but there is also LinkedIn which is excellent because it drives successful like-minded people to you as well. The key in becoming successful while using these strategies. It requires you to find a system or strategy that will place you above your competition.

Here are a few simple things to keep in mind in order to dominate the SEO marketplace.
1. You Have To Position Yourself As The Expert
I see so many copycats online it’s insane! You don’t want to be someone who follows the leader…you want to be positioned as the leader. How do you do that? Find your niche. Whether that be, in the way you are able to connect with others socially, dynamic headlines, or simply relating to others in the industry. You are going to find many who may have more experience in one topic verses another but that doesn’t make them the expert. So why would you try to copycat another individual whose niche might not blend well with yours. It’s obvious to those who live on Facebook when someone is coming across as fake. When you know what you are talking about, you show confidence and you don’t sound desperate. That’s the difference between Amateur and Professional Marketers. Remember, depending on your skill one SEO site might not be as effective as the next. Feel out a few and see which one has better success at producing targeted leads.
2. Do Not Use Automated Tools To Increase Your Leads
If you stop and think about this for a second, I know at first glance you are probably thinking, “WOW, a thousand followers in a matter of minutes awesome!” Okay so you gain 1,000 followers, are they really good leads? Or would I be correct in saying that they are no different than buying a lead list off the internet. Yeah sure, you might get a few bites…but most are colder than a dead fish and a complete waste of you time. You need to have a targeted audience that has the same mentality and like-mind wants as you do. You want to attract individuals who you can picture working with in the long term. After all, you want to build a team that is going to flourish, right?
3. Get Involved
One of the biggest misconceptions of online marketing is that people think they do not have to talk to others ever again, which is true, if you want to stay at the bottom of the totem pole forever. Now, I enjoy SEO a lot and I have met hundreds of people who I have excellent rapport with. The vast majority of people who live on sites such as FB and Twitter do not know how to engage in a proper conversation. As soon as someone IMS me and says, “Hello, XYZ is the number one company in the world click here to watch a presentation!” Guess what I do, I ignore them. Basically, #1 they didn’t try to connect with me on a personal level and #2 they threw up all over me in the first 2 seconds of our conversation.
You have to treat online as you would offline, in the sense you are talking to real people. If you’re afraid to use SEO because you lack the ability to converse…get over it!
Face your fears; otherwise you are in the wrong business!

Here are the 10 landmines that
you need to watch out for in
Network Marketing…
Comparison Bomb: Stop looking at other opportunities or the next best thing! Stick with your company as long as it matches your core values. Focus, Focus, Focus!!!
Multiple Income Stream Bomb: Working 3 or 4 deals at one time doesn’t work, it never has! Now, if you are receiving affiliate commissions by promoting tools that you use to promote you business then that okay and that’s not what I’m talking about. I am talking about 2,3, or 4 primary business at once.
Multitasking Bomb: Everyone can multitask but NO ONE can multifocus. Focus on 1 thing and 1 thing only. Quit bouncing around because nothing ever gets completed!
Banker Bomb: Do not lend people money to join your company. You will never get a return on your money and you’ll end up wasting time that you could have been using to promote and recruit. It backfires 99.9% of the time.
Product Expert Bomb: The more of an expert that you become the more you tend to drive prospects away from you. People generally want down to earth straight forward answer and explanation. Do you need to have some understanding of you company’s products, yes! Just don’t go haywire trying to master them…you’ll just end up confusing people rather than showing off your high IQ and you’ll end up complicating things more than you should.
Friends and Family Bomb: Don’t go chasing Aunt Mildred like running rats off a ship! You love her as you do the rest of your family. They are not their for you to harass and beat to death with the next best thing you’ve found. Trust me, all it will take for them to want to join you is seeing your check in the mail. So don’t push it…let it happen naturally.
Network Marketing Bomb: Don’t waste your time attending events where network marketers spend time swapping cards. You’ll just be spinning your wheels. As you are there to attract them to your company, they are taking your business card so that they can talk you into joining theirs. There are far more effective ways to market and this is NOT one of them.
Dabble Bomb: Don’t waste your time on a part timer! If you find that you’ve got several people in your downline just twiddling their thumbs and not producing you need to let them be. They are not your leaders. Focus on your leader because they are the ones that are going to take you to the top.
Dumb Bomb: When you first meet a prospect do not throw up on them with your company info or opportunity compensation plan. Too much information at one time drives prospects away. You want to gradually work them into your funnel. Start by spending them to good credible information or training.
Shortcut Bomb: There are no short cuts. Stop searching for them!
Mark Yarnell released an incredible book just a couple months ago called The Lotus Code. I highly recommend this book to anyone looking to build a Home Based Business. In it, it covers these keys steps in full detail as well as many others.

You will have to work, you will need money and you will need to spend time growing professionally.

Mark Yarnell’s 5 Steps
To Financial Freedom
1) Core Value Match- Would you recruit your mama into the deal your in? Is the product or service that you are endorsing matching your core values? We all have them…unless you are just a sociopath.
If not and let’s just say you continue with X company, you will sabotage yourself right before you get into the big money. If you are knowingly in a deal that does not support your core values than you are in the wrong deal.
Be proud of your company and it’s products or services. Otherwise, you will eventually do something that will sabotage yourself.
2) If you want to make $100,000, Mark Yarnell points out that if you are fortunate enough to have gone to Harvard, they require you to take a course called Billion Dollar Blueprint. Basically, it teaches you 7 things within the market sector. #1 is that you need to make sure that you have a large enough sector when in business. Ask yourself, how big is your marking sector and how big is your competition? You want to position yourself and your company in a noncompetitive arena. Do your research!
3) *******2 hours a day profession relationship building******* Why all the asterisk? Because this is the MOST important step and you need to write this one down! In network marketing, you are only paid to do two things. #1 Recruit and #2 Retail products or services. That’s all you get paid on! Anything else you do is considered amateur…don’t take offense. What Mark means is that in a 24 hr day…you spend 8 sleeping, 2 relationship building and 14 hr doing (other stuff) training, movies, Oprah, cleaning, dinner….etc. You get the point.
If you are not recruiting and/or retailing then your not actively working your business. Is the ‘other stuff‘ necessary, absolutely! You just need to prioritize yourself and focus on what is important to succeed.
4) What type of plan do you have laid out to follow? Is it a 1,2, or 3 year time line? Let me give you a little heads up and again this is just from implementing the rule above (2hrs a day). If your goal is to achieve $100,000 in 1 year, you will need to talk to 30 people a day, 2 years=20 people and 3 years=10 people.
How in the world do you do that? Find your target markets and plug in!! Whether your strategy is offline or online, find your niche and team up with others who are compatible. 30 people a day can be either through talking over the phone, SEO marketing, webinars, emails and so on.
5) Familiarize yourself with the landmines that will blow up your deal in a heartbeat! The steps involved in #5 is far too detailed for this post. There are 10 of these and you really need to make sure to avoid all of them!!! Be on the look out for part 2 with Mark Yarnell!
