I feel so deeply for all those who have come and gone before me in this industry. Those who have turned their back due to bad habits, training and poor results. I wish I would have know half the things I know now back then. Not only would I have saved myself from the frustration but you as well.

It doesn’t matter which avenue you decide to take in order to promote your marketing techniques, the primary factors remain consistent.

When I was first introduced into the MLM Industry I was just fresh out of college and entering the corporate world.

Struggling financially, as a newly married woman and baby on the way, I was desperate to supplement the income we had lost when my husband was laid off from his job. My mother actually introduced me to network marketing and her excitement soon totally engulfed me. I was so caught up in the $$$$ and the promise of a debt free life style, that I drove right in full force.

It would be much easier telling you what I haven’t done, rather than what I had

I have made numerous cold calls, door to door sales, passed out flyers (in laundry mats, businesses, malls, fairs, expos…), purchased 100’s of business cards, which are still starring at me! I can’t even begin to tell you the amount of money that I put into advertising and materials, most of which was a complete waste! A whole lot of work for little to no payout! For the amount of time and energy that I spent really trying to work by business, I felt as though I was running around like a chicken with my head cut off. There came a point when I threw up my hands and said I was done…ENOUGH IS ENOUGH!!

At that point and time, God forbid if I were to join another company….because I had completely exhausted all of my warm market. After business opportunity #2 they pretty much just slammed the door right in my face. I am sure many of you can relate. When you get to that point you seem to lose hope.

Spinning my wheels and being tugged UMPTEEN different directions this is what I had going for me during my first 6 years in this industry…

~ I Had My Goals Established

~ I Was A Die Hard Student

~ I Was Dedicated And Had My Eye On The Prize

~ Most Importantly, I Was Hungry For Knowledge

Looking back at myself two years ago, it didn’t get me very far. I was the laughing stock of me closest relatives and mocked consistently by my friends, “Tara, are you rollin’ in the dough? When are you off to Hawaii?” Yeah, sure I understand now but at the time I was so mad at how the industry had let me down!

If you haven’t heard of Pareto’s 80/20 law, it states that 80% of our energy should be directed to our attributes and the other 20% is time that we should be spending improving our imperfections.

The reason why so many fail day in and day out is because #1 Inconsistency. Letting obstacles get in our way which then they turn into excuses and soon after you are back at square one with no money and no leads. #2 Time Management. What good does it do you if you spend 12 hours of your day training and reading and calling your upline for answer while the other 3-4 hours are spent actually doing things that will grow and empower you business and create a team environment for your leads, as well as, implementing your marketing techniques to generate those leads. Do you see what is wrong with this picture? Focus your time and energy are things that you do well and stay productive! You must learn how to manage your time properly!

Are you going to receive a check in the mail for that book that took you 8 hours to read? Or how about the nonstop calls to your upline begging them to just pretty much do everything for you, get you totally setup, and by the way do you mind calling…’Mary  Jane’ because I am too new to actually try to recruit? The answer is NO, you will not!

The best way to overcome your fears is to begin facing them head on! Take the “deer by the horns” so to speak and just do it! The more you get off your butt and begin proving to yourself that can, the easier it will become and the better you’ll get at it.

In network marketing, you need to position yourself as a leader. Leaders take control and make things happen. Spectators just observe! Which are you?

Once I was able to grasp hold of this concept and began implementing into my own life….the rest just fell into place!

Going from 5 years of bad luck to within 2 years of pure freedom was well worth the wait. Do I wish I was able to make it happen sooner? Of course, but if it wasn’t for my determination, I wouldn’t even be where I am today! Focus one day at a time and pride yourself on your abilities not your faults!

I just wanted to share with you real briefly about how my attraction marketing system changed my life. You see, I have been in network marketing for seven years and during that time I’ve had my fair share of let downs, as well as, genuine triumphs.

Huge turn off and it’s a sure fine way to lose credibility.

Having the right system in place, with the right company sets the foundation for your success. You want to be sure that you have a simple easy to use system that will keep track of the leads you are generating, as well as, funnel through and hand pick those who will become your top producers. This is called the sorting process and most of you have been doing this on your own for quite some time now.

I highly suggest that you take the time to reflect on your past methods and ask yourself, “Are they really working for you or are you working for them?” You see, my attraction marketing system gives me the ability to become the hunted instead of the hunter. Everything is setup to where it runs on complete auto pilot, which allows me more time to spend on marketing, as well as, training my team.

You have to ask yourself the question, “How can I produce and attract a large number of leads into my system QUICKER, so I can funnel through to my top leaders? Must I say it again? Article marketing=Results! It’s so easy, a caveman can do it Had to throw that in…lol. Okay, in all seriousness…it’s works and I am living proof! Just that simple. Here’s the scoop… Trust me, you follow these next few steps, to the “T” and I guarantee you will see dramatic results!

• Write one NEW article daily!

Okay this can through article writing, blogs or social networking feeds. This is THE MOST IMPORTANT step! Commit yourself to writing one piece daily for the next 30 days! Before long, you will have created more original context than majority of your competitors…and that is what sells!

• Use different VARIATIONS of the original article and submit it to other article directories…the more the merrier!

How this works is you need to go back through and rewrite your article line by line about 3 different times. When you are finished you will have 3 new articles that you will then submit to as many article directories as you possibly can. I know this steps seems a bit tedious…trust me it’s going to pay off big time!

• Redirect ALL of your articles variation back to it’s original article!

After you have submitted all of your article, what you want to do now is go back and make a short 30 sec video talking about how wonderful your article is. Always bookmark the original piece of content ,as well as, your YouTube video. Try using a free social bookmarking site called OnlyWire.com it works GREAT! It submits to over 25 bookmarking site while giving you additional exposure too!

One of the absolute WORST ways of advertising is SPAM!

I hate it….that’s to put it mildly.

Listen, it’s totally not cool when I send out emails to those who have opted in on my site and some take advantage of me by turning around and sending me back emails promoting their business opportunities.

As I have stated many, many times, MLM and networking marketing is a relationship driven business. If YOU are taking it upon yourself to opt in of a website to gain further information that’s perfectly okay. However, if you are using it as a way to gain a lead, YOU MUST STOP! This is a sure fine way to piss a lot of people off and ensure that they will not join your business.

I am giving you a CHOICE to receive my information, I expect the same treatment. Network marketing has a few simple guidelines that are well known throughout the community. RESPECT, it at the top of the list. Those who have been in MLM for a while know who’s who. It only takes a few stupid mistakes such as spamming for people to get the word out that you are not a legit, honest business associate. Now, especially for you newbies out there…is this really the recognition you want?

How are you presenting yourself?

You MUST treat your business as you would any other. Conduct yourself as the professional you are. As a professional, you are seeking individual who are WANTING to work with you, who are INTERESTED in what you have to offer. How fair is it that the person whose site you opted in on, only to steal their information, had to spend countless hours marketing and promoting to gain leads? Let’s get serious! If you are going to continue to use this method then at least be polite enough to send an email asking if it’s okay. Now, whether you like the answer you receive or not… too bad so sad! It’s their choice and you need to have enough couth to respect their privacy! You will ONLY receive emails from me because you have asked for them. This does not automatically entitle you the right to send me yours!

In this profession, it is important that you are viewed as a PROFESSIONAL. You are communicating with people 24/7 and you want them to value you enough to say, “Now, that is an honest, respectable person and I can see myself working with them!” If you would only grab hold of what I have said, not only will you present yourself in a more classy fashion but you will be sure to win over a lot more of your clients and prospects. People ONLY do business with those they TRUST and take a liking too.

Market your business the RIGHT WAY! Learn how to build rapport with others and attract leads to you instead of having to chase after them. What you need to do is set up a lead capture page with several different landing pages. Make sure you are adding valuable content and ASKING others to opt in rather than outright spamming them!

Trust me, something so simple can create a HUGE breakthrough for you and your business! Watch yourself grow and mature as a leader literally overnight!

Welcome back for another great blog!

For those of you who have either done network marketing in the past or in it right now, you are all very familiar with the door-to-door sales pitches. You see when MLM first began, before the rise of the internet and all it’s glory, people were reliant on the “old school” techniques.

Okay, what do I mean by “old school”??

You remember the days of people knocking on your door trying to sell you vitamins or air fresheners? How about Aunt Sally, who would call you trying to get you to come to another weekly meeting for Avon or MaryKay? The trips to the mall, only to find when you returned to your car a flier stuck to your windshield advertising another freebie if you will call this number!

Let’s face it…

Sales and marketing techniques come and go. Yeah sure, you might still have some luck applying the old school models but really it’s a thing of the past.

Honestly, how many people do you know that are sitting at home during the day? I can probably think of enough to count of my fingers. Majority of us are working our 9-5 to put dinner on the table. With that said, do you see how door-to-door sales would be incredibly hard? Sure, you could try to hit up a few business, but just walking in off the street is like jumping off the deep end.

My point being, you might want to use this type of technique with extreme caution and really weigh out your surroundings to see if it is a perfect match for what you are looking to accomplish.

Hmmm…remember all those sleepless nights sitting around making cold calls? Have you been guilty of buying “FRESH” leads that turned out to be colder than a dead fish? I can laugh about it now…but at the time I was about ready to throw my phone across the room. My upline use to always tell me, “You’re gonna go through a lot of no’s before you get a YES! Just hang in there.” Not exactly something you want to hear after hours and hours of calling and being hung up on…is it?!?

I am here to tell you…THERE IS A MUCH BETTER WAY!

I have ran in circles chasing my tail for years, until I was introduced to some really great mentors who taught me about the two most POWERFUL tools I could EVER own! Any guess???

You see for years people have pushed their business when trying to market. Let’s stop and think about this, how many times has your home phone rang and it was one of those, “You entered a dawning and won a 4 night 3 day stay at….” only to find out that it’s a timeshare and you have to sit though a 3 hour presentation before you actually “win” your prize. As soon as I heard timeshare, I’d hang up the phone. Well, the same thing is true for vitamins, mobile phones, post cards….whatever it is that you are trying to market. Listen, people DO NOT want to be SOLD, especially in network marketing. People are more likely to hear what you have to say if you are genuine and personable.

The key to success in MLM is not locked away for only certain eyes to discover. It is within you!  This is a long term, relationship driven opportunity.  No one is going to join a business with someone that they may know little to nothing about. You just can’t grow your business that way… it DOES NOT work!

When I had the revolutionary eye opening experience and realized that all I need to do to grow my business was to actually learn to interact and bond with others….my business literally exploded! Within 3 months I was able to grow my organization into more than 900 active distributors and working at it part time. I was using the warm market resources that I still had and attend weekly and monthly meet-up trainings. HOWEVER, what you are marketing is no longer your business you are marketing YOU! This may take some time, it is not going to happen over night.  Depending on where you stand financially there are a couple different things you could try…

Rollin’ in dough? Try Google Adwords. Now, you are gonna find that you’ll be spending quite a bit of $$$ if you’re not careful. However, if you read up on it and really understand how it works then you can potentially generate alot of leads within your first day. Just do your research and be careful!

Once you have leads, you’ll notice that some will opt in and some won’t. Listen, this isn’t a bad thing! You do not want to spend time and engery on someone that you have to pull teeth to get into your business. All that’s gonna happen is (A) you’ll be their babysitter (B) they’ll be the one’s to run when they don’t see a huge initial paycheck in the mail.

Some other things you need to keep in mind is the fact that you might go on a roller coaster ride when it comes to seeing immediate results. Maybe one week you sign up 5 people and you earn $75 in your affiliate commissions but the following week you have 15 leads and no one has opted into your opportunity or your affiliate programs. This is just part of the GROWING process. Expect it and accept it!
